Things have been busy recently, but I wanted to hop on briefly and let you know about not only one, but two interviews/chats about Mental Health in the Performing Arts/Voice Studio I took part in recently that you might find interesting…

The first one was with Emily Martin and Elizabeth McDonald (em2 connect) for their Community in Conversation Series “From the Voice of”. You can watch it here:

The second one was for Dr. Marisa Lee Naismith’s “A Voice and Beyond” podcast. We had a long chat about boundaries in the voice studio: After all, most of us aren’t therapists, but voice teachers, and it can sometimes be a fine line to walk not to take on the role of the counsellor. You can watch the whole conversation, or listen to the podcast, here.

I am so grateful that these wonderful women gave me the opportunity to talk about something that is very close to my heart.

If any of this speaks to you, or you would like to become a more mental health informed performing arts/voice practitioner, please don’t hesitate to
