This introductory course will give voice users, performers and performing arts teachers a theoretical and practical introduction into the vast topic of Trauma-Informed Practice:
- Are you aware (no pun intended) of the difference between being trauma-aware and trauma-informed?
- Do you know the different types of trauma an individual can encounter (they aren’t as straightforward as one might think)?
- What are somatic markers, and do you have to know about Polyvagal Theory?
- How could you rethink the way you operate your studio to make it a safer and more welcoming place for trauma survivors without any need for disclosure from their end?
All of these questions, and more, will be answered in this course…
You will get lifetime access to a video recording and its corresponding audio, slide decks and video transcripts. After you completed a quiz to test your knowledge, you will also get a certificate of completion.
Please note: If you are interested in a more comprehensive self-study course about Mental Health in the Performing Arts, my course by the same name might be a better option for you since it contains this, plus another four in-depth modules.
