“Addio, del passato bei sogni ridenti” from Verdi’s “La Traviata”
The aria roughly translates to “Farewell, happy dreams of the past” and is performed in the 3rd act of the opera. Angela Gheorghiu is, for me personally, one of the best Violettas I have heard, combining great technique with superb performance skills.
